Dreams
of Green
The Night hangs sadly, shrouding tomorrow
The moon cries softly in the sky
The Clouds run slowly - I look to the stars,
It'll soon be time to rise!!
But your head on the pillow, scorns the
shadows
Peace lies behind your shuttered eyes
Golden hair spreads over the pillow
As your mind through green dreams flies...
A golden stallion on the horizon
A rosy mane sailing in the sky
Four hooves are steaming - nestling the ground
It'll soon be time to rise...
But your face is silent, pinkly
I see it
Hidden still a golden wheel gleams
No waves of blue can cross the threshold
As you wander through pale green dreams
The nets of darkness are frayed in sorrow
The sun hangs limply in the sky
The mists are rising - the earth lies gleaming
It'll soon be time to rise...
But the sun's fingers caress you softly
A ring of gold crowns you a queen
I cross the doorway - into greys and browns
As I leave you to dreams of green
